Why are more people wanting Adobe Premiere Pro training?

IN modern world Video has become a very integral part of our lives. Increasingly, people are faced with the need to process video footage. It is for such tasks that a program was created that can significantly speed up and facilitate the process of editing audio and video materials. This software package is quite simple and clear interface, and also has a wide selection of different tools to implement a wide variety of goals and objectives. But in order to learn how to use all the capabilities of this wonderful program, many people want to undergo high-quality Adobe Premiere Pro training.

There are several options for learning Premier Pro. In particular, various offline training courses are quite popular. But they have a number of significant disadvantages that you should be aware of:

  1. When studying in offline courses, you are in the audience with other people and you may simply not understand or hear something.
  2. Such group courses require the student to quickly assimilate and memorize new information. Not every person is able to be attentive and concentrated over a long period of study.
  3. If the “reading” is carried out rather quickly, someone may not have time to remember or write down an important point.
  4. Additional explanations and consultations are usually provided for a fee. And individual training for Adobe Premiere Pro is quite expensive.

These are not all the disadvantages of offline courses; they can be listed further. But since you have come to this page, it means that you are interested in the question: “Which training option is on at the moment most accessible and effective? Of course, this is video training. This method has very significant advantages:

  • The entire learning process takes place using real examples, which allows you to absorb information much faster.
  • You immediately see all the stages of work and the finished result, so you can easily repeat everything yourself.
  • You can review any topic or difficult moment as many times as you like until you finally master all the material.
  • No one is forcing you into a strict time frame. You can return to the lesson (question) you are interested in at any time.

The benefits of learning Adobe Premier Pro from video tutorials are obvious. An important advantage is also that this format of training is quite simple and accessible to everyone.

The website contains a large number of training materials on the Adobe Premiere Pro program, in particular:

  • Free
  • Free courses Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Reviews, articles on the program, etc.

All educational materials are regularly updated by the authors of our site, new relevant lessons, publications, etc. are added. Join the rapidly growing team of like-minded people on the website portal and start exploring the wonderful world of video graphics with us!

I told you about what I use to shoot my videos. But making a video is only half the battle.

Next, the captured video still needs to be processed. Remove everything unnecessary, add a splash screen, combine it with audio if you record it separately, make color correction, increase sharpness, and ultimately output the result to the final video file in a format suitable for further use.

For these purposes, I use a combination of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects and Adobe Audition.

Adobe Premiere Pro is a basic video processing tool. All installation work is carried out in this program. After Effects is used for
effects (remove green background, add special effects, etc.), Adobe Audition for sound processing.

Having studied this bundle of programs well, you will be able to make high-quality videos for your projects. These could be videos for your YouTube channel, for paid courses, or videos for your landing pages.

I am often asked to recommend some educational materials on this topic, so today I want to recommend something really worthwhile to you.

Next week, a new course will be released as part of our Videosmile project
"Super Premiere Pro", which is entirely dedicated to video editing in this wonderful program. But that will come later, but today you can start getting acquainted with this course, because the guys from VideoSmile decided to take an unconventional path and are giving the first lessons of this course completely free.

Today I studied these lessons myself and I can say that they will be incredibly useful to absolutely any person who uses or plans to use video in their work.

Here are the first three videos of this course:

Lesson #1. Introducing Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015

From the first video you will become familiar with the general principles of editing. There will be a little history of editing and Premiere Pro. The story is needed so that you understand one important point, which is that installation is very simple! The main thing is to know the basic rules and laws of installation. You will get acquainted with some of them in this lesson.

Lesson #2. Installing the program. System Requirements

In this lesson you will learn where to download and how to install Adobe Premiere Pro CC.

We will also look at technical requirements to the computer on which you are going to edit video. We will analyze all the main parameters and talk in detail about disk subsystems (which options are best suited for storing footage and editing).

Lesson #3. Installation stages. Structuring the material

In this lesson you will become familiar with the main stages of editing, the path that a video file takes from the camera to the final result.

We will dwell in detail on the file structuring stage. This is a very important point. Editing involves a large number of sources, audio files, files with additional graphics, project files, and all this should be clearly structured on your disk into folders.

With the help of these short lessons, you will be able to familiarize yourself with the basic terminology of the topic, gain basic knowledge that will become the basis of your future mastery, and also see with your own eyes the quality of content from the Videosmile team.

The entire course is voiced in Russian. This is especially important since there are practically no quality tutorials on video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro.

The main advantage of this video editing course is the synthesis of theoretical material with practical knowledge. Anyone who wants to master the tools of the Adobe Premiere Pro program will not only learn about the basic concepts that are typical for this type of activity, but will also be able to repeat all the actions after the teacher.

The lessons will begin with an analysis of the basic principles of video editing and end with a visual application of some Adobe Premiere Pro features. For example, the Auto-Ducking function, which allows you to adjust the sound of background music.

  • General information about Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2015
  • Installation stages. Structuring the material

  • Auto-Ducking feature in Adobe Premiere Pro

Lesson 1

The first lesson in this mini-course covers the basic principles of video editing. The teacher will tell you about the history of editing and how the Adobe Premiere Pro program came into being. Also in this video tutorial, several exciting videos will be presented and the editing techniques that were used in their creation will be discussed.

The teacher will focus on the possibilities of editing to build an emotional reaction from viewers of the video in question, the influence of music on this reaction and the need to be able to cut out boring and low-quality material from the video.

This lesson will allow you to better understand the basic principles of video editing, as well as gain an understanding of the basic techniques that you will use in the future.

Lesson 2

In the second lesson we will talk more about the technical features of video editing with Adobe Premiere Pro. After all, to create high-quality video, you need to own a suitable system that can withstand heavy loads and record material uninterruptedly.

To work comfortably with this tool, the processor on your PC should not be more than 4 years old. But the main indicator in working with video editing is RAM. The required minimum for Adobe Premiere Pro is 8 GB.

The teacher will pay special attention to the disks on which the material is recorded. There are many options for both amateur and professional installation, each of which has certain advantages and disadvantages.

Lesson 3

This lesson is devoted to the main stages that a specialist will have to deal with when editing video. That is, the entire process from receiving raw material to the final video recording, which will evoke the necessary emotions in the viewer.

In the lesson, special attention is paid to the structuring of files, because during editing a huge number of different sources are used: sound, graphic or other files that are used to achieve the desired result. After creating a structure for more convenient work, all sources are imported into Adobe Premiere Pro.

The editor examines and selects the best shots and writes the fish - a crude system that connects the sound and what is happening on the screen. A draft version is created, the graphics are finalized if necessary, after which only the final touches remain until the final result.

Lesson 4

The number of file formats that you have to work with when editing video is quite large. Please understand that Adobe Premiere Pro does not support all of them. However, do not panic, because Adobe has taken care of the possibility of transcoding files into the required version, creating Media program Encoder CC 2015.

In this lesson, the teacher will introduce you to the main features of this software, and will also show you, using examples of several situations, how to convert an incompatible file to any other format. This will not only help significantly reduce the time it takes to complete one action, but will also allow you to gain more control in editing sources.

Lesson 5

The fifth lesson of this mini-course on video editing in Adobe PremierePro is devoted to importing sources into the program. In half an hour, you'll learn how to create your own project and import all the audio, video, and graphics into it to create a quality edit.

Separately, the teacher will pay attention to the tools that are most often used in this process. We will also talk about gluing together frames and the size of plans, which are divided into four types: general, medium, large, detail.

At the end of the video, the teacher will ask you to experiment with the length of transitions and the sizes of plans. This is all necessary to create a feeling that will allow you to do similar work faster in the future.

Lesson 6

Obviously, one of the key factors in the quality of a video is its color correction. Using this tool, the editor creates the necessary mood in the video, which evokes certain emotions in the viewer.

The sixth lesson presents several examples of working with color correction. You will master the basic effects that allow you to achieve the desired result, and also become familiar with a tool called a vectorscope.

We will also talk about several unobvious secrets in the Adobe Premiere Pro toolkit that some professionals do not know about. Knowing how to use them will allow you to improve the quality of your own work and reduce the time it takes to create it.

Lesson 7

Lesson seven is a short intermediate step that provides general advice for aspiring video editors. With their help, you can chart your own path in this field of activity.

The teacher will advise everyone who wants to take up video editing to try experimenting and not be afraid to make mistakes, because their presence makes us more experienced. Don’t be afraid to redo the video if you notice mistakes or troubles, because even if the client doesn’t notice the difference, you will still know about the quality defect and undeserved praise addressed to you.

The teacher will talk about his intention to provide knowledge that will not become outdated over time. After all, the basics of working with plans, frame stitching and color wheels will remain the same no matter how much technology advances.

Lesson 8

In this lesson we will talk about the components of each film or video that video editors have to deal with every day. You will learn basic information about shots, plans, scenes, episodes and parts that make up any film. This information will help you adjust the editing of your film to suit the needs of the plot, which in turn will have a positive impact on the viewer's final reaction to your work.

The ability to not only get a beautiful picture, but to make a conscious composition out of it that will prompt specific thoughts, is the main task of any video editor working with films.

Also in the lesson we will talk about the theory of the correct change of plans, following which helps to smoothly transfer the viewer from one scene to another, while showing important details of the action.

Lesson 9

This lesson focuses on types of splices. Gluing is the combination of two plans. It allows you to create the illusion of continuous action and a smooth transition from one scene to another.

At the moment, there are many types of splices with which editors get ample opportunities on editing the source material of a film or video. These are direct gluing, dissolve, darkening, curtain and graphics.

This variety of techniques allows you to focus attention on important things in the scene, while doing it unobtrusively, in order to create the opportunity for the viewer to be completely immersed in the viewing experience.

Lesson 10

For a long time, this technique was used by almost all film editors. However, over time, Alfred Hitchcock decided that the Kuleshov effect needed improvement. To do this, he added a third plan - a reaction, the purpose of which is to suggest to the viewer a specific emotion to react to what he saw. This aspect has not been modified and is used unchanged today.

This lesson is entirely dedicated to the so-called Kuleshov effect, which discovered that combining two unrelated frames in different combinations can evoke completely different emotions in the viewer.

Also in this lesson we will talk about the following techniques: Geographical experiment, Dance and Creative Man. Each of them has found its application in the video editing industry.

Lesson 11

In this lesson, the teacher will focus on techniques that many editors use in practice. One of the most popular is the so-called “Jump Cut”. This is a simple stitching of frames, between which the editor has cut out unnecessary content.

Since this technique is very rough and easily noticed by the viewer, the Jump Cut often changes the shot to smooth out the transition.

The technique is also used to display the passage of time. A sharp movement of characters in the frame who are toiling from boredom, or a plan of a house during the day and evening, reflecting the course of the day. Also in this lesson we will talk about the compositional Jump Cut and types of the Match Cut technique.

Lesson 12

Now we will talk about the linearity of events in video editing. This is a set of several rules that allow you to smoothly transfer the viewer from plan to plan, without causing rejection in the latter.

In his work, the editor is obliged to monitor not only the smoothness of the events being displayed, but also the blunders that may get into the frame. In some cases, they are covered by shots from other shots, but sometimes the director or editor may be so caught up in the action from a certain angle that he decides to leave the shot despite the flaws. In this case, the editor will try to cover up the mistakes. This aspect of video editing is called prop linearity.

At the very end of the lesson, the teacher will talk about the linearity of sound. It also uses several rules to create the right perception in the viewer.

Lesson 13-18

Lesson 13

Lesson 14

Lesson 15

Lesson 16

Lesson 17

Lesson 18

A small online training mini-course on video editing in AdobePremiere Pro, in which you and your teacher will have to edit your own film from professional sources.

During the work, the techniques shown in previous theoretical lessons will be used. You'll become more familiar with the Adobe Premiere Pro toolkit interface and learn how to use each feature.

By repeating after the teacher, you can learn the basic actions in the program, which will be useful to both professionals and amateur video editors.

Lesson 19

In the nineteenth lesson we will talk about 5 functions of AdobePremiere Pro that very few people know about. With their help, you can save a significant amount of time creating the final result and at the same time improve its quality.

The teacher will talk about the Source Monitor display modes, the Replace command, project consolidation, looping mode (Loop, loops) and editing on the fly, in which you can edit the montage while directly displaying the video in Adobe Premiere Pro.

Lesson 20

The twentieth lesson is devoted to video editing. We will talk about the classification of sounds - voices (character lines, voice-over text, hero's voice), music, internoise (room tone or environmental sounds), Foley/SFX (claps, shots, sliding and moving objects).

Sound effects create the necessary atmosphere of immersion in a video or film, which is why working with sound is so important. In most cases, you will only have to improve the quality of the already recorded audio, but in some cases, for example, when working with science fiction films, you will have to overdub new sound in those plans where it is impossible to write it down. The sound library will help you with this, where you can download and edit the selected audio track.

Lesson 21

The last lesson of the mini-course is devoted to the Auto-Ducking function. With its help, you can adjust the volume of background music or sound.

This aspect is especially important in shots or scenes where the main characters have a lot of lines. It becomes possible to reduce the sound in speech detection areas and place more emphasis on the speaking character. After the end of the replica, the sound volume will return to its previous level. Moreover, all this is done in such a way that the viewer does not notice the change.

There are many training options, including traditional offline courses. But those who want to choose this method for themselves should be aware of several disadvantages of the method.

  • Courses involve teaching large groups of people. When studying in a noisy classroom, you may not be able to hear or have time to write down the necessary information.
  • The programs of such courses are built without taking into account individual abilities to assimilate information. There is a high risk of falling behind the group, feeling tired and losing concentration.
  • The speed of presentation of the material may be too fast - if you do not understand an important point, the teacher will not return to it again.

  1. During the lessons, explanations are made using practical examples. Therefore, you will remember information quickly and easily.
  2. Before your eyes is the sequence of stages of work and the final result. Using this algorithm, you can easily work independently.
