SBP with DC link 220 and 110V

In the designation, the rated output voltage of the SBP rectifier is indicated only if it differs from 400V. If there is a source at the site DC(DC switchboard or stationary battery) voltage from the 220 and 110V range with which it is planned to power the UPS, it is necessary to indicate the selected voltage in the symbol. In this case, the UPS is used instead of an uninterruptible power supply unit (UPS).

SBP with electrical energy storage devices (supercapacitors)

Based on the Globalpower series uninterruptible power supply systems, new products have been developed and put into production, which are analogues of dynamic voltage distortion compensators (DVDCs), with a power from 5 to 80 kVA. Their distinctive feature is the absence of rechargeable batteries. Instead, electrical energy storage devices (supercapacitors) are installed, which provide correction of short-term dips and overvoltages. DCIN is the optimal solution for critical technological processes and protection of sensitive electronics from voltage distortions lasting up to 5 seconds.

    Job description:

    • normal work. The load is continuously supplied from the inverter output, through a static bypass, with a voltage synchronized with the backup input voltage. The battery rectifier/charger receives electricity from the network (main input) and supplies DC energy to the inverter, while simultaneously providing current battery charge.
    • Main entrance power supply failure. In the event of a failure in the power supply network from the main input or in the event of a voltage deviation, the load continues to receive electricity through the static bypass from the output of the inverter, which receives energy from the battery for a time depending on the capacity of the battery and the size of the connected load. After the battery is discharged to a predetermined level, the inverter is turned off and the static bypass, if there is voltage at the backup input, switches the load to the backup input.
    • termination of the main entrance power supply network failure. After the failure in the power supply network of the main input ceases, the rectifier again begins to supply the inverter with energy and recharge the battery.
    • electronic and static bypass. To ensure greater reliability of power supply to the load, it is possible to power the load from a backup input, which is connected automatically in the event of an overload or malfunction of the inverter. Switching occurs without interference and without short-term loss of energy in the load using a static bypass.
    • manual bypass. Allows manual switching of the load to the backup input, bypassing the rectifier, inverter and static bypass, which makes it possible to disconnect for service work.
    • inverter frequency conversion. The UPS uninterruptible power supply system can be used as a frequency converter from 50 Hz to 60 Hz and back.
    • work without AB. The UPS uninterruptible power supply system will operate without batteries, providing all technical capabilities, with the exception of continued operation in the event of an input voltage failure.

Uninterruptible power systems- modern complex electrical devices on a unified element base with a microprocessor control system. Designed to supply AC circuits of critical consumers with high-quality stabilized voltage, regardless of interference in the supply network or the complete absence of input power supply.

Used in automated systems safety and process control, local computer networks objects of electric power industry, oil and gas, chemical, mining, metallurgical industries, in the provision of banking and medical services. They have proven themselves positively during qualification, standard, periodic, acceptance tests and in real operating conditions.

The one-way service design has overall and installation dimensions that allow the devices to be used at almost any facility, and has a European design. It is possible to use domestic or foreign-made components, depending on the specifics of the objects and special requirements, and to use a wide range of additional options.

High power uninterruptible power supply systems are available in earthquake-resistant or general industrial versions.

Standard devices are manufactured with an output voltage of 400V, an output frequency of 50Hz, a synchronization band set to ±1%, and a current limiting value for short-circuit set by the manufacturer. at the output of devices, for standard backup time from rechargeable batteries, with degree of protection IP20, for deliveries to countries with temperate climates.

They are a one-way service design consisting of:

  • semiconductor cabinet (SBP), consisting of a controlled thyristor rectifier, transistor inverter, statistical switching device on thyristors, bypass line and microprocessor system control and management;
  • cabinet with a set of batteries (CAB AB).

The design provides for connecting external cables from below (from cable channels or openings), fastening input cables and ensures operation in a vertical position with a permissible deviation of up to 5 degrees in any direction. Functional units, control boards and their installation locations have structural elements or corresponding inscriptions (markings) that prevent incorrect installation and switching on. All metal parts have anti-corrosion coatings.

The devices provide transfer of power to the load by manual switching to the bypass line without interruption of power, while it is possible to carry out work on de-energized equipment. The local device control panel consists of an information display and a keyboard. The display is built on the basis of a liquid crystal display (LCD) and LEDs.

The LCD screen displays the following information:

  • alarms
  • current state signals

It is possible to store and display on the LCD the latest messages caused by internal faults or external influences, identifying the event, indicating its date and time.

The keyboard provides control over the display of information displayed on the LCD screen.

The devices are equipped with classic types of light, acoustic and external alarms with signals output by “dry contacts” to the control center. The average time between failures of individual elements is from 55,000 to 500,000 hours. Designated service life is 30 years from the date of commissioning.

Upon special order, high-power uninterruptible power supply systems are manufactured taking into account special requirements and (or) additional options which are indicated in the questionnaire:

  • RF1 filter – radio interference level filter

  • software
  • connecting the UPS in parallel to the common load

SBPs can be connected in parallel, up to four pieces, if increased power or reliability is required. All UPS connected in parallel must be of the same power and type.
