Firstly, the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge have an “outdated” connector Micro USB instead of USB Type-C. In addition, it is made according to the USB 2.0 standard. Of course, at the beginning of 2016, most accessories and cables (emphasis on the first syllable) are still intended for the old port. However, many manufacturers have already begun to equip their devices with a symmetrical connector, and the day is not far off when it will become more difficult to find charging for Micro USB. First of all, using USB Type-C makes it easier to connect wires and flash drives to a smartphone: no matter which way you turn it, you can’t go wrong. And the abandonment of the USB 3.0 interface is generally a mystery, because the speed on this bus is several times higher than that of USB 2.0. This in turn means that transferring many files from PC to smartphone and vice versa will take a long time.
Secondly, the non-removable battery may put you off buying the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. Many frequently traveling users prefer to take an extra battery with them in order to extend the overall operating time of the device. When traveling, it is not always possible to connect a gadget to an outlet or carry a portable charger ( Power Bank). In addition, instead of the “native” battery, you can easily install a more capacious battery in your smartphone.
Next, third, the drawback somewhat overlaps with the previous one and is a refusal to support Quick Charge 3.0. Instead of a new development from Qualcomm, the outdated QC 2.0 is used. Testing has shown that the technology of the third version is 38 percent more efficient than the previous one and allows you to charge the device twice as fast. By the way, the charging process from 0% to 80% takes approximately 35 minutes.
Fourth a possible reason for failure is an old fingerprint scanner, exactly the same as that installed in the previous Galaxy S6. This means that the sensor in the new smartphone has not become faster or “smarter”: the reading speed and the number of failures remain at the same level.

For the first time this function appeared in Android 6.0 Marshmallow, on which this smartphone runs. It allows, as already mentioned, to install a microSD card as additional internal memory space, and not as a separate one. Another unique feature of the Galaxy S7 Edge is the curved display at the edges. Naturally, you will also have to pay extra for this, but not as much.
In conclusion, I would like to say that despite the listed shortcomings, which you can easily turn a blind eye to, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are great smartphones, close to ideal. No one here, of course, will dissuade you from buying new products, but I think that the purpose of this article has been fulfilled - to report on the problems that were found in these devices. So, if you have enough money in your stash and these “cons” don’t play a role, go ahead to the store to buy it. Good luck!

Moreover, many companies even have an agreement to produce smartphones with the same charging connector. 
And all chargers, in principle, do not have such serious differences - they are standard 5V and 2A. Yes, of course, there are devices to quickly fill the battery. But even in them only the voltage increases, but not the power.
Moreover, all modern smartphones are equipped with a special controller. If the model does not support fast charging– it won’t happen. Additionally, they do not allow overcharging - which is extremely critical in this case.
It follows that a working device will not cause harm when charging, no matter what device it is connected to. And here the first defects were revealed - that same controller could have failed. And the Samsung Note models from the first batch did not have them at all!
As a result of overcharging, the electrolyte in the battery boiled and a large amount of gas was released. Naturally, the pressure in the smartphone’s case instantly soared to a critical level - and now there was a real micro-explosion, with fragments of the case flying in different directions. A real time bomb. Put it on charge, sit down and wait for it to “arrive”. This is some kind of sabotage! You can imagine - just like that I bought a smartphone for my 12-year-old daughter, and it exploded, showering her with a hail of fragments...

And if it only exploded when charging. Well, no - sometimes they fly apart right in your hands. How to explain this? Why do Samsung phones explode after recharging? There is a completely truthful version. This is probably why the series of explosions occurred precisely in the summer month. I completely believe this.

In addition, the likelihood of fires has now increased significantly. And shell fragments can damage the eardrum or even the carotid artery. The consequences of such damage are easy to imagine.
How not to explode with a Samsung Galaxy Note 7?
Why the Samsung Note explodes is clear, but what to do now? The surest remedy is not to use smartphones and not leave the house at all. It's safer this way. And those who do not want to resort to such radical methods should get wireless headset and for displaying messages. But in general, living in constant fear that your electronic pet could explode at any moment is somehow not reasonable. 
Those who fly frequently should think about a special thermal container in which a potential “saboteur” will hide during the flight. Also, Russian companies do not recommend turning it on during the flight, much less trying to charge it. And in general, now, you’ll probably have to wear head armor...
The danger came from where we did not expect it. And it won’t be Alkaida or Egil who will blow you up, but your own smartphone! But I'm glad that the warning only applies to Samsung models Note 7 purchased before the second day of September and then outside of Russia. After all, there were no official sales of this batch in the Russian Federation. That's great! 
And so, the Federal Air Transport Agency simply does not instill fear - it takes into account the experience of its American colleagues. There, one frivolous Yankee's Samsung started smoking right on board the plane at the Louisville airport. Why frivolous - yes, because this citizen was aware of the marriage and simply exchanged the previous model for a new one.
